Once.....A Surf Day Benefit For The Learning Disabled
Sax had the opportunity to work with learning disabled people within a theatre group, The East End Special Players. Through his own sensitivity Sax became well loved by the actors. In memory of him, an annual ONCE....A Surf Day Benefit was held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at Indian Wells Beach, Amagansett, from 12 –2:30pm.
Many learning disabled people don’t know what a thrill it is to ride a wave. For ONCE in their lifetime, they had the opportunity to surf one on one with a professional surfer from our community.
